Senior Program Officer

About the role

FHI 360 is looking for a Senior Program Officer to join its Liberia Country Office in Monrovia. Reporting to the Project Director – EpiC/Country Representative, the incumbent will ensure that program activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Director in implementing project and country representative duties.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, U.S. Department of State rules, and organizational policies.
• Review and comment on programmatic reports and annual work plans.
• Oversee reporting processes, aggregate data, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Manage knowledge‑management initiatives, document management, and new‑hire onboarding.
• Assist with budget clearance and support staff in drafting protocols, papers, and project reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with the Ministry of Health, local and international stakeholders.
• Respond to donor and HQ requests, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
• Identify new funding opportunities, participate in business development, and lead aspects of proposal design.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of project management concepts and practices.
• Experience working with donor‑funded programs and government partners.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
