Clinical Program Manager – Child Health

About the role

The Clinical Program Manager will lead the Child Health program for PIH in Maryland County, Liberia. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the role ensures high-quality pediatric care across primary and secondary facilities and supports strategic planning, education, and grant management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of pediatric health services at all PIH/MOH supported facilities in Maryland County.
• Lead strategic planning for the Child Health department, including medical education, mentorship for residents, medical officers, and intern doctors.
• Conduct trainings and seminars on pediatric diseases and mentor junior pediatric specialists appointed by the Ministry of Health.
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, County Health Team, and PIH departments (M&E, Community Health, Maternal & Reproductive Health, Research, Nursing) to design and evaluate clinical programs.
• Provide technical expertise for program development, implementation, and quality-improvement projects.
• Coordinate with the Social Protection Officer to integrate social support services.
• Represent clinical leads in grant monitoring and evaluation meetings.

Required profile

• Experience in managing clinical or public-health programs, preferably in low-resource settings.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and government partners.
• Strong understanding of pediatric health services and health system strengthening.
• Capacity to lead education and mentorship initiatives for health professionals.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
