Clinical Program Manager

About the role

The Clinical Program Manager will lead PIH’s Child Health department in Maryland County, Liberia, ensuring high‑quality pediatric services across primary and secondary facilities. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the role combines strategic planning, program oversight, and direct collaboration with the Ministry of Health.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of pediatric health services at all PIH/MOH supported facilities.
• Lead strategic planning for the Child Health department, including medical education and mentorship for residents, medical officers, and interns.
• Design and conduct trainings, seminars, and quality‑improvement projects on pediatric diseases.
• Coordinate closely with the Ministry of Health, local health teams, and PIH departments such as M&E, Community Health, and Research.
• Manage grant writing, monitoring, and reporting related to child and newborn health initiatives.
• Serve as liaison for clinical leads, policy partners, and grant monitoring meetings.

Required profile

• Medical or public‑health background with experience in clinical program management.
• Proven ability to make day‑to‑day strategic and operational decisions.
• Experience working with government health ministries and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities for junior clinicians.
