Construction Manager – Mining Project

About the role

MANSA RESOURCES is launching a new gold mining project in Liberia and needs an experienced Construction Manager to lead all construction activities from development through to completion. Reporting to the Project Director, you will act as the Owner’s representative on site, ensuring safe, efficient, and on‑schedule delivery of both EPCM‑managed and owner‑managed works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on‑site construction activities.
• Manage EPCM contractors and owner‑managed construction packages.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, productivity, costs, and schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, logistics, operations, and construction teams.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and execution challenges.
• Support commissioning and project handover activities.
• Mentor and develop national construction personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in construction management within mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or large‑scale infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing multiple contractors in an EPCM environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in remote locations.
• Experience in West Africa or other developing countries is highly desirable.
• Fluent English.
