Customs Expert – ASYCUDA Automation Specialist

About the role

The Customs Expert will support the implementation and operation of the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) in Liberia. This role combines technical expertise with functional support to ensure efficient customs procedures and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) automation expertise for the ASYCUDA system.
• Deliver functional support to Customs and PGAs, including troubleshooting and system maintenance.
• Write specification and user‑guide documentation for ASYCUDA implementation in Liberia.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, management or a related field (or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience).
• Minimum three years of experience with a Master’s (or five years with a Bachelor’s) in project or programme management, preferably in digitalisation of customs procedures.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with the ASYCUDA customs management system.
• Proficiency in using Agile project‑management tools and working within an Agile methodology.
