Drilling Rig Supervisor

About the role

The Drilling Rig Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and supporting drilling and workover operations on a 24‑hour basis. The role ensures that contractor activities at assigned rigs are optimized, compliant with company policies, and that material supplies are managed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Apply approved policies, processes, and procedures to maintain controlled operations.
• Coordinate daily drilling and workover activities with contractors, inspecting compliance with contract terms.
• Review, compile, and verify daily work and field service reports prepared by contractors.
• Issue service orders and manage material supplies, ensuring timely support for drilling tasks.
• Support rig moves, anchor handling, tug/supply boat, and helicopter activities at the on‑shore base.
• Monitor drilling parameters, material consumption, costs, and prepare operational status reports.
• Assist procurement and logistics to guarantee adequate resources for scheduled tasks.
• Report any discrepancies between contract obligations and actual work to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Experience in supervising drilling and workover operations.
• Ability to liaise effectively with contractors and service providers.
• Strong understanding of operational policies, safety standards, and contract compliance.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical reports and managing material control.
