Mainframe Developer (COBOL)

About the role

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer to analyze and interpret existing COBOL codebases and create high‑quality training data for AI systems. You will play a critical role in documenting legacy logic and providing expert feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, interpret, and provide guidance on existing COBOL codebases.
• Develop clear documentation of COBOL logic, workflows, and business rules.
• Evaluate sample code and identify potential edge cases.
• Review and annotate scripts or pseudo‑code to support machine‑learning datasets.
• Contribute to the design of test cases representing real‑world applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience and deep proficiency in COBOL development.
• Strong analytical skills for decoding complex legacy systems.
• Demonstrated capability to produce precise technical documentation.
• Familiarity with mainframe environments and related tooling.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
