Mechanical Site Engineer – Renewables

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Engineer to join our Renewables division, working on offshore substation projects worldwide. The role involves installing, testing and commissioning mechanical systems on wind‑farm substations, both offshore and onshore, with extensive travel.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily site activities for 4‑10 skilled workers.
• Ensure project schedule adherence and plan activities accordingly.
• Install, test and commission mechanical systems such as ventilation, cooling, fire‑extinguishing, diesel generator and fuel systems.
• Coordinate with installation suppliers, yards and partners, and oversee material procurement and delivery.
• Collaborate with the Engineering department on design changes and technical issues.
• Perform ad‑hoc problem solving and manage start‑up and commissioning of mechanical equipment.

Required profile

• Ambitious, detail‑oriented professional with strong teamwork and communication skills in English.
• Safety‑first mindset and willingness to travel internationally to offshore and onshore sites.
• Commercial awareness and basic managerial abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ventilation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with cooling systems.
• Hands‑on experience with fire extinguishing systems.
• Hands‑on experience with diesel generator and fuel systems.
• Mechanical or marine engineering degree (bachelor’s or master’s).
