Photo Editor – Yearbook (Leadership Role)

About the role

The Yearbook team is looking for a Photo Editor to direct and manage all photographic content for the upcoming Templar Yearbook. You will work closely with senior editorial staff to ensure a high standard of creativity, quality, and consistency across all visual elements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of freelance photographers and photo editors, organizing schedules and assigning tasks.
• Collaborate with the Editor‑in‑Chief and Managing Editor to recruit additional photo editors and freelance photographers.
• Coordinate with the Sports Team to delegate and track photo assignments for the sports section.
• Ensure final photographic output aligns with established themes and quality standards.
• Manage timelines and deliverables to keep the photography schedule in sync with the yearbook production schedule.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage and mentor a creative team.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with editorial and sports staff.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of digital photography and photo‑editing software.
• Proven experience in overseeing photographic projects from concept to final delivery.
