Product Compliance Counsel

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a Product Compliance Counsel to ensure its social entertainment platforms meet all legal and regulatory requirements. You will work remotely with a global team, reviewing product and marketing materials, monitoring regulations, and supporting AI governance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve product specifications for websites and mobile apps, assessing compliance risks related to features, user journeys, monetisation models, and platform requirements.
• Audit product compliance and respond to incidents.
• Review marketing campaigns for compliance with consumer protection, advertising, and platform guidelines; advise marketing teams and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions, communicate updates, and support implementation of required changes.
• Track sanctions‑related regulatory developments and apply internal sanctions controls.
• Develop and deliver compliance training, onboarding materials, and maintain internal guidance and playbooks.
• Assess AI‑enabled products, third‑party AI integrations, and support AI risk assessments and governance controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws in the EU and the USA.
• Familiarity with marketing and advertising compliance laws in the EU and the USA.
• Understanding of EU and US digital legislation and AI governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Apple Store and Google Play guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills (B2+).
