Production Manager – Forestry Operations

About the role

Signature Tree Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily forestry production and operations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate equipment, personnel, and financial resources to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable forest management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial tasks to meet resource utilization and financial goals.
• Lead a team of 15‑25 laborers and equipment operators, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate equipment and personnel for optimal productivity while upholding safety standards.
• Address operational challenges promptly, including equipment breakdowns and personnel issues.
• Maintain effective communication between the crew and management.
• Promote sustainable forestry practices and enforce safety regulations through meetings and inspections.
• Track paperwork, hours, materials, and project progress.
• Assist with inventory control and equipment maintenance records.
• Uphold quality control standards to deliver high‑quality work.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Proven experience in forestry operations or a related field.
• Strong financial acumen for daily production management.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑motivating abilities.
• Effective problem‑solving skills under pressure.
• Ability to train new and current employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of sustainable forestry practices and safety protocols.
• Physical ability to work outdoors and lift heavy equipment.
