Program Intern – Kangaroo Mother Care Pilot

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a motivated Program Intern to support the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) pilot and Syphilis Free Start (SFS) technical assistance in Liberia. The intern will work closely with the Associate Manager, Programs, gaining hands‑on experience in field coordination, data documentation, and donor reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with field visits to KMC pilot facilities, supporting data collection and on‑site documentation.
• Provide data entry and basic analysis support for program monitoring.
• Help coordinate communication between field teams, government partners, and donors.
• Support light‑touch technical assistance activities for the Syphilis Free Start initiative.
• Maintain organized records of program activities and outcomes.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate interested in global health and development.
• Strong interest in evidence‑based interventions and cost‑effective programming.
• Ability to work in low‑resource environments and travel to field sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
