Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Associate (G6)

About the role

The Global Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) programme supports safe, dignified returns for migrants and provides post‑arrival assistance when requested. Based in Monrovia, Liberia, the Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Associate will lead the monitoring and evaluation of activities carried out by the IOM Liberia Country Office.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly planning of programme activities and produce a structured calendar for the Country Office.
• Collect, summarise, analyse and present M&E data from sources such as MiMOSA, ensuring compliance with IOM and donor standards.
• Monitor performance indicators against implementation plans and disseminate findings to guide data‑driven adjustments.
• Prepare interim and final MEAL reports, incorporating disaggregated data by age, gender and vulnerability.
• Organise surveys and assessments to measure satisfaction and impact among migrants and host communities.
• Support the development of new M&E tools in collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation and Information Management Units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with six years of experience.
• Experience in project development, monitoring, reporting and evaluation, preferably with assisted voluntary return and reintegration programmes.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) required; working knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Kobo Toolbox, MiMOSA and statistical analysis packages.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis capabilities.
