Senior System Administrator

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to manage and evolve its Microsoft‑based infrastructure. You will work remotely with a global team, supporting data‑centers, virtualization platforms, VDI farms and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer corporate Microsoft services – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority (PKI) and Group Policy.
• Maintain access platforms such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence, 1C/ERP, SQL Server, Google Workspace and Slack.
• Support VDI and terminal server farms, ensuring domain services, certificates and patches are up to date.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Participate in infrastructure projects: AD domain migration, Citrix VDI replacement, load‑balancer stack upgrade, Windows server refresh and legacy decommissioning.
• Prepare implementation steps, build test environments and run pilots.
• Keep documentation and inventory current in NetBox and Confluence.
• Take part in on‑call rotation to guarantee system availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft and VDI environments.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one full Active Directory forest migration.
• Proven experience operating VDI or terminal access platforms in production.

• Active Directory (multi‑domain, forests, trusts, replication, FSMO, DFS, GPO).
• DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority (PKI).
• VDI and Remote Desktop Services.
• Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• SQL Server administration.
• Google Workspace and Slack.
• Citrix (or comparable VDI solution).
• nginx, HAProxy, keepalived/VRRP.
• NetBox for inventory management.
