Service Engineer

About the role

AEGIR-Marine is seeking Service Engineers to join its global team. After comprehensive internal training, you will independently service stern tube seals and marine propulsion systems worldwide, supporting both routine assignments and larger projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform replacement of stern tube seals and repair of propulsion systems on vessels.
• Work autonomously on service assignments, often traveling for several days to weeks.
• Collaborate with larger project teams and supervise shipyard personnel on site.
• Maintain high‑quality workmanship and uphold AEGIR‑Marine’s service standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Self‑reliant, service‑oriented, and comfortable with extensive travel.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, able to improvise and devise solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience in the shipping or maritime sector is a plus.
