Deck Equipment Supervisor - Heavy Lift Vessel

About the role

The Deck Equipment Supervisor ensures the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the vessel's deck equipment. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and Works Manager, you coordinate maintenance and repairs so that equipment stays ready for operations and projects. The role is based on a 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer and Works Manager in the safe operation, maintenance and repair of deck equipment
• Maintain deck equipment according to the planned maintenance system, in close cooperation with the Chief Engineer
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, repairs and technical findings in Maximo and other work files
• Liaise with the Technical Department and E&A Department on equipment readiness, technical requirements and project-specific modifications
• Organise and supervise daily deck equipment work safely, in line with rest-hour regulations
• Promote a strong safety culture, follow risk assessments and working procedures, and ensure manuals and company policies are followed and communicated
• Take part in mobilisation and demobilisation of the vessel

Required profile

• Strong technical background and sound knowledge of marine and deck equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience in a technical or supervisory position on board offshore, dredging or other specialised vessels
• Comfortable coordinating maintenance and supervising technicians and crew
• Good command of English
• Willingness to work offshore on a 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off rotation

Required skills

• Experience with a planned maintenance system such as Maximo is an advantage
• Clear communication with departments on board and ashore
