Earthworks Superintendent (Mining Project)

About the role

MANSA RESOURCES is developing the Dugbe Gold Project in Liberia and needs an experienced Earthworks Superintendent to lead major earthworks and civil construction activities. Reporting to the Earthworks Manager, you will supervise contractors delivering roads, bridges, drainage, building platforms and the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) earthworks, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day earthworks and civil construction activities across multiple work fronts.
• Manage contractors and enforce safety, quality, environmental and technical standards.
• Monitor progress, productivity, schedules and resource utilisation.
• Oversee construction of roads, bridges, drainage systems, bulk earthworks and the TSF.
• Support planning, reporting and coordination of construction activities.
• Participate in inspections, quality control and incident investigations.
• Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve field issues.
• Mentor national employees through on‑the‑job training and coaching.

Required profile

• Diploma, technical qualification or equivalent experience in civil construction, earthworks or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in earthworks, civil construction or major infrastructure projects, with a proven record of supervising large‑scale contractor activities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, earthmoving equipment and site supervision.
• Experience in West Africa and with mining projects, especially TSF, road or bridge works, is highly desirable.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
