Funded EU Delegation Traineeship in Liberia

About the role

The EU Delegation to Liberia offers a funded traineeship of up to six months, starting tentatively in October 2026. The position is placed in the Political, Press and Information Section and is designed for recent graduates interested in international relations, diplomacy and media work.

Key responsibilities

• Media Monitoring: Produce daily press reviews by tracking Liberian print, broadcast and online outlets.
• Political Reporting: Research legislative developments such as security sector reform and human‑rights issues, and assist in drafting briefings and reports.
• Public Diplomacy: Create content for the Delegation’s social‑media channels (X, Facebook) and draft press releases.
• Event Management: Support logistics and content preparation for high‑level events and press conferences.
• Reporting: Attend meetings with ministries, partners and civil‑society organisations, and prepare minutes and summaries.

Required profile

• Liberian national currently residing in Liberia.
• Recent university graduate (minimum Bachelor’s degree) with less than one year of professional experience after graduation.
• Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong research interest in West African geopolitical dynamics.
• High adaptability to a multicultural environment and ability to meet tight deadlines.
