Logistics Manager (Liberian Nationals Only)

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead daily logistics, warehousing, and commodity management activities for U.S.-funded health commodities across Liberia’s 15 counties. The role ensures safe storage, accurate tracking, and reliable distribution of essential health items, working closely with the Central Medical Store, General Services Agency, and Ministry of Health.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate quarterly distribution cycles of Insecticide‑Treated Nets (ITNs) and support the transition to a 4PL model with County Health Teams.
• Monitor warehouse conditions, implement ISO 9001:2015 standards, and support GS1 barcoding and traceability rollout.
• Support biannual demand‑projection updates, quantification of malaria and other health commodities, and use the Quantification Analytic Tool for forecasting.
• Conduct risk assessments, coordinate insurance coverage, and train health staff on commodity security and reporting.
• Develop work plans and budgets, prepare technical updates for reporting, and ensure compliance with CRS policies and donor regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, public health logistics, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in commodity logistics, warehouse management, or supply‑chain operations, preferably in public‑health or humanitarian contexts.
• Proven track record managing USG‑funded programs, large budgets, and multi‑activity projects.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and coordination skills; ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on warehouse management and inventory control.
• Experience with logistics management information systems such as mSupply/Open mSupply.
• Knowledge of GS1 barcoding/traceability standards (GTIN, GLN).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 warehouse standards and cold‑chain/vaccine storage requirements.
• Use of Quantification Analytic Tool for demand forecasting and KPI monitoring.
