Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health Technical Officer (EpiC)

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Technical Officer to support Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) activities for the EpiC project in Liberia. The role is based in Monrovia and works under the supervision of the EpiC Technical Advisor to improve health outcomes in high‑burden counties.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Technical Advisor in ensuring quality of maternal and neonatal health services at facilities and in the community.
• Participate in trainings, on‑the‑job mentorship, and supportive supervision for county, district and facility staff.
• Ensure implementation of activities follows established protocols, guidelines and SOPs.
• Collaborate with project technical staff to plan and coordinate service‑strengthening activities with health facility and country leadership.
• Participate in county‑level technical working groups and health sector coordination meetings on MNCH topics.
• Coordinate planning, collection and use of monitoring data for clinical and community‑based interventions.

Required profile

• Experience in maternal, neonatal and child health program implementation.
• Ability to work with government and community partners.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Willingness to travel within Liberia’s high‑burden counties.
