Program Intern

About the role

This internship supports the Associate Manager, Programs on the Kangaroo Mother Care pilot and Syphilis Free Start technical assistance in Liberia. You will gain hands‑on experience in field coordination, documentation, and data support while working closely with government partners and donors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with field visits for the KMC pilot: collect data, take notes, draft trip reports, and help schedule meetings with Ministry of Health and County Health Teams.
• Support logistics and follow‑up for SFS technical assistance, including preparing monthly data reviews and tracking action items from stakeholder meetings.
• Provide general administrative support for regional program meetings and maintain organized documentation of lessons learned and implementation challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in public health, nursing, social sciences, or a related field.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting structured notes and summaries.
• Willingness to travel to field sites in Maryland County and other pilot locations.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple follow‑up items.
• Interest in maternal and neonatal health, public health systems, or program implementation is a plus.
