Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer to own and operate our Jira Server/Data Center, Confluence and Atlassian Cloud environments. You will ensure the platforms are stable, performant and aligned with the needs of our global product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Jira Server/Data Center, Confluence and Atlassian Cloud, including configuration of workflows, permissions, custom fields, dashboards and plugins.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot indexing issues, slow queries and integration problems, and drive platform reliability.
• Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, housekeeping and incident resolution.
• Reduce configuration debt and improve governance across Atlassian tools.
• Automate routine tasks using ScriptRunner, REST API and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, SRE, DBA and engineering teams to resolve system and performance issues.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on administration of Jira Server/Data Center and Confluence.
• Deep knowledge of Jira architecture, JVM basics, indexing and performance impact of customizations.
• Experience with REST API, webhooks and automation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Russian.
