Senior Data Engineer – FinTech (Remote)

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with FinTech experience to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for its global social discovery products. This fully remote position offers the chance to work with cutting‑edge technologies and a diverse, worldwide team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Airflow, Airbyte, DBT, and Snowflake.
• Implement a Medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold) to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Create reliable ETL/ELT processes and integrate data from SQL, NoSQL, and API sources.
• Improve data modeling practices and optimize performance of data warehouses.
• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to turn raw data into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience with DBT (models, macros, tests, snapshots).
• Solid knowledge of Snowflake and data‑warehouse design.
• Proven experience building data pipelines and warehouses.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts such as star and snowflake schemas.
