Senior NLP/LLM Engineer

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior NLP/LLM Engineer to advance AI-driven conversational experiences across its global dating platforms. You will lead experiments, evaluation, and optimization of large language models to deliver high‑quality, scalable AI bots.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run experiments with LLM architectures and techniques such as SFT, RLHF, adapters, LoRA, and QLoRA.
• Develop and maintain robust evaluation frameworks, tracking offline and online performance, accuracy, and user satisfaction metrics.
• Optimize model inference for speed and efficiency to meet production scalability requirements.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate AI solutions into the product pipeline.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning principles, including model validation and loss functions.
• Strong background in classic NLP techniques (text preprocessing, TF‑IDF, vectorization, classification, NER, semantic similarity).
• Extensive hands‑on experience with transformer‑based models (BERT, other LLMs) and fine‑tuning methods (SFT, LoRA, QLoRA, prompt/prefix tuning).
• Familiarity with alignment approaches such as RLHF and DPO, as well as data preparation, instruction tuning, quantization, and deployment.
