Senior Software Engineer (React/Front End)

About the role

Bellwood is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep React and front‑end expertise to join its remote product development consultancy. You will work on client‑facing applications, own features from design through release, and help raise engineering standards across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end feature development in React applications, including design, implementation, testing and release.
• Establish and improve automated quality gates such as unit, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Lead code reviews to ensure consistency, maintainability and high code quality.
• Author and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for build, test, lint and security checks.
• Administer GitHub repositories, manage dependencies, permissions and branch protection.
• Partner with client teams to harden security posture through vulnerability remediation and static analysis.
• Build reusable patterns, shared components and design‑system integrations for scalable products.
• Mentor and pair with engineers on modern React and front‑end practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Deep experience with React and Redux (or comparable state management).
• Strong TypeScript expertise and experience integrating front ends with REST APIs.
• Proven leadership in code reviews and CI/CD pipeline creation.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
