Accounting Manager

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead full‑cycle accounting for a portfolio of international entities. You will ensure accurate month‑end close, statutory reporting and tax compliance across the US, Hong Kong and Cyprus while supporting the finance team in a remote, globally distributed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for five entities, including month‑end close, GL and trial balance reviews, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Run parallel accounting in the corporate ERP and QuickBooks, monitor automated transaction feeds and resolve duplicates or mismatches.
• Lead annual statutory audits for Cyprus and Hong Kong, coordinating with external auditors and US tax partners.
• Maintain the group tax calendar, ensuring CIT, VAT and local returns are filed and paid on time with zero penalties.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L forecasts, perform plan‑vs‑actual variance analysis, and respond to KYC/AML and compliance requests from banks and payment service providers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a senior, international or general‑ledger accountant in a multi‑entity environment.
• Hands‑on experience with statutory reporting, audits and local tax compliance under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Exposure to US, Cyprus or Hong Kong tax regimes is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills.
