Electrical & Mechanical Engineers – Marine Projects

About the role

Tekniq is seeking experienced Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to support marine projects in Finland and worldwide. You will work on demanding shipbuilding and marine environments, ensuring high‑quality installation, safety, and successful commissioning of complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate electrical or mechanical designs, proposing improvements where necessary.
• Supervise onboard and site installation activities, providing technical guidance to installation teams.
• Ensure correct installation of cabling systems, cable trays, equipment, cabinets, piping, machinery and related components.
• Inspect and verify equipment, systems, and installations for compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system verification according to manufacturer specifications and project procedures.
• Identify technical issues, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project progress and report status, observations, and findings to site and project managers.
• Participate in project meetings, planning sessions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in marine or shipbuilding environments is preferred.
• Strong technical problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
