Local Leadership & Partnerships Manager

About the role

The Local Leadership & Partnerships Manager will lead CRS’s partnership and capacity‑strengthening agenda in Liberia. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for shaping the strategy on local leadership, communication, relationship management and coordination across all programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the country‑wide partnership strategy, ensuring alignment with CRS policies and local context.
• Serve as the primary liaison between CRS and its implementing partners, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships.
• Provide guidance on partnership principles and act as a resource for both CRS and partner staff engaged in joint initiatives.
• Oversee capacity‑strengthening activities, including training, mentorship and technical assistance for partners.
• Coordinate with programme teams to integrate partnership objectives into project design and delivery.
• Supervise assigned staff and, where needed, support programme implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership management, capacity strengthening or related fields within the humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of CRS safeguarding policies and commitment to its Code of Conduct.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work across diverse cultural settings.
• Leadership experience, including staff supervision and team coordination.
