Part‑time QA Tester – Shopify & eCommerce

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Quality Assurance Tester to join our remote team at Pact. The role focuses on Shopify and e‑commerce platforms, ensuring that every build meets high standards for functionality, performance and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for web applications, primarily Shopify stores.
• Create detailed test scenarios covering product browsing, cart management, checkout and other e‑commerce flows.
• Perform manual testing across multiple devices and browsers, including functional, regression and user‑acceptance testing.
• Identify, document and track bugs using Asana, and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
• Assist in creating and maintaining testing environments that mirror production.
• Conduct basic accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines.
• Help refine QA processes for both clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in software QA testing, preferably in web and e‑commerce environments.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional remote team.

Required skills

• Shopify – navigation of the Admin interface, theme architecture (sections, blocks), product data model and theme customization.
• Asana – bug tracking and project management.
• Manual testing techniques and creation of test plans/cases.
• Functional, regression and user‑acceptance testing.
• Basic accessibility testing (WCAG).
• Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress (optional).
