QA Engineer – Shopify Platform (Weekday Evening/Night Shift)

About the role

IncubatorLab AI is building a 24/7 QA function for its Shopify storefront, checkout, and subscription experiences. As a QA Engineer you will cover weekday evening and night shifts, ensuring continuous platform health and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the live Shopify storefront (resilia.shop) in real time for bugs, visual regressions, and broken functionality.
• Validate new deployments, theme updates, Liquid template changes, and app integrations before and after they go live.
• Execute manual and automated regression tests across desktop and mobile, covering checkout flow, subscription logic, discount codes, and payment processing.
• Document bugs in ClickUp and GitHub Issues with clear reproduction steps, media, and severity ratings; communicate directly with developers via PR comments.
• Prepare detailed handoff notes at the start and end of each shift to ensure seamless coverage.
• Spot‑check third‑party Shopify apps for conflicts and escalate revenue‑impacting issues according to on‑call protocol.

Required profile

• Native‑level English proficiency (written and spoken).
• 5+ years of QA/testing experience, preferably in a fast‑paced agency or high‑volume DTC/e‑commerce brand.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify backend, themes, apps, metafields, and ability to read Liquid template logic.
• Comfortable using GitHub for branches, PR reviews, and issue tagging.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to trace root causes.
• Proven ability to work independently during off‑hours with proactive communication.
