Chief of Party I – Liberia

About the role

The Chief of Party I will lead the implementation of a five‑year, multi‑country health project funded by the U.S. Department of State. Based in Liberia, the role oversees delivery of integrated HIV, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, malaria and nutrition services through government and community platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager with government, faith‑based, and consortium partners.
• Lead project design, start‑up, implementation and close‑out, ensuring compliance with CRS quality standards and donor guidelines.
• Oversee sub‑award management, donor reporting and financial compliance.
• Develop staffing plans, recruit senior staff and provide coaching, mentoring and performance management.
• Ensure staff safety and security, proactively managing risks in the field.
• Coordinate with technical and operational teams across the consortium to align activities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in large‑scale health programs.
• Strong background in managing multi‑partner, multi‑country projects.
• Demonstrated ability to engage government and faith‑based stakeholders.
• Experience with donor compliance, sub‑award oversight and financial reporting.
• Capacity to lead security risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
