National Cold Chain Consultant – 6‑month onsite role in Monrovia

About the role
UNICEF is seeking a National Cold Chain Consultant to support Liberia’s Ministry of Health in strengthening the vaccine cold chain and immunisation supply chain. This six‑month, onsite assignment will focus on equipment installation, maintenance, capacity building and implementation of the Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) plan.
Key responsibilities
- Install, commission, and monitor cold chain equipment across national and primary health‑care facilities.
- Provide technical support for solar electrification of health facilities and the PSA oxygen ecosystem.
- Build technical capacity of Ministry of Health staff and partners at all levels.
- Support the rollout of the Effective Vaccine Management improvement plan.
- Ensure vaccine potency and readiness of health facilities to improve equitable immunisation coverage.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience in cold chain, logistics or public health.
- Proven experience working on vaccine supply‑chain projects in low‑resource settings.
- Ability to work onsite in Monrovia for the full contract period.
