About the role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Engine Officer (4th Engineer) to join a stable vehicle carrier fleet. The role involves overseeing engineering watches on a modern vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the main engine plant.
Key responsibilities
- Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (III/1 licence holder).
- Monitor and control main engine performance, fuel consumption and auxiliary systems.
- Maintain compliance with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Report any technical issues and coordinate corrective actions with senior engineering staff.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months sea‑time experience as a junior engineer.
- Valid III/1 licence and STCW certification.
- Good command of English.
Required skills
- Marine engineering watchkeeping.
- Understanding of vessel propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
What we offer
- Monthly salary of 1,814 USD.
- Fixed‑term contract of 6 months, with possibility of extension.
