4th Engineer (Junior Engine Officer) on Vehicle Carrier

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Engine Officer (4th Engineer) to join a stable vehicle carrier fleet. The role involves overseeing engineering watches on a modern vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the main engine plant.

Key responsibilities

• Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (III/1 licence holder).
• Monitor and control main engine performance, fuel consumption and auxiliary systems.
• Maintain compliance with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
• Report any technical issues and coordinate corrective actions with senior engineering staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months sea‑time experience as a junior engineer.
• Valid III/1 licence and STCW certification.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Marine engineering watchkeeping.
• Understanding of vessel propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
