Chief Accountant – Liberia

About the role

Epiroc is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the local accounting function in Liberia. The role ensures high‑quality accounting to reporting, supports the Business Controller, and provides financial analysis for operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting and reporting in line with The Epiroc Way and deliver timely Group reporting.
• Manage local accounting functions, statutory and tax compliance for the legal entity.
• Participate in internal, external and tax audits and related projects.
• Collaborate with the regional finance team and the Regional Centre of Excellence.
• Ensure procedures and documentation are up‑to‑date and adhered to.
• Advise operations on tax codes, compliance and regulations.
• Identify and address potential compliance and internal‑control issues.
• Respond to accounting and reporting inquiries from operational teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Accountancy; professional accountant qualification is a plus.
• Solid accounting experience, including a senior accountant role.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a multinational environment (advantageous).
• Fluency in English and strong knowledge of Liberia’s legal, statutory accounting and tax reporting.
• Good legal statutory knowledge and experience.
