Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and industry‑specific cost reimbursement principles. As a key business partner to the President/CEO, the CFO will provide actionable financial insights to support both short‑term performance and long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Direct fiscal functions, including month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial statement preparation.
• Develop and maintain financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow models across divisions.
• Oversee accounting staff, manage external auditors, and serve as escalation point for AR/AP issues.
• Enhance financial and accounting systems, controls, and reporting tools.
• Lead analysis of strategic initiatives such as new operations, asset acquisitions, and service launches.
• Negotiate and manage real‑estate leases and sub‑leases.
• Participate in senior management meetings, corporate policy development, and joint‑venture negotiations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a senior finance leader, preferably in the automotive manufacturing sector.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and cost‑reimbursement principles.
• Proven ability to partner with CEOs/Presidents on strategic and operational decisions.
• Strong track record of building and leading high‑performing finance teams.
• Experience managing external audits and complex financial reporting cycles.
