Project Finance Director

About the role

Mansa Resources is expanding its gold mining operations in West Africa and seeks a seasoned Project Finance Director to lead finance, cost control, administration, and commercial support for a new greenfield project in Liberia. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on operational finance during construction and development.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the finance function for the project, ensuring robust financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Implement and maintain cost‑control mechanisms, financial reporting, and project‑level performance monitoring.
• Provide commercial support, contract governance and risk‑based decision making for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and regulatory standards.
• Drive finance system and ERP implementation to support project execution.
• Build, mentor and localise a high‑performing finance and administration team.
• Prepare the project for operational readiness and transition to production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Proven experience in large‑scale mining, construction, infrastructure or industrial projects, preferably greenfield mine development.
• Demonstrated experience working in Africa or remote‑site environments.
