Chief Officer on Board Jack‑Up Vessel

About the role
The Chief Officer will serve as the captain’s right‑hand on a jack‑up vessel, overseeing navigation and deck operations during a 12‑hour watch. This senior position ensures safe and efficient jacking, deck management, and compliance with offshore regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate daily deck operations and supervise the deck crew.
- Lead jacking operations and implement safety procedures, including VMS.
- Organise emergency drills and analyse incidents, following up on audits.
- Plan navigation and voyages, maintain the ship’s log and records.
- Manage ballast operations and waste handling.
- Assist with vessel mobilisations, repairs, and other technical tasks.
Required profile
- Valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate licence.
- Proven jacking experience on offshore vessels.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Willingness to work offshore rotations.
