Governance & Leadership Capacity Development Consultant (3‑day workshop)

About the role

Welthungerhilfe Liberia and Concern Worldwide are seeking an experienced consultant to design and facilitate a three‑day Governance, Leadership and Institutional Capacity Development programme for local implementing partners in Liberia. The assignment aims to strengthen board effectiveness, senior management leadership, and fiduciary oversight across participating NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a rapid capacity needs assessment of partner organisations.
• Develop a detailed workshop programme, including PowerPoint presentations and training materials.
• Facilitate an interactive three‑day workshop covering governance principles, risk management, anti‑corruption, safeguarding and compliance.
• Prepare an inception report, work plan, and post‑workshop evaluation.
• Deliver a comprehensive workshop report with recommendations and an institutional action‑plan template for each organisation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Governance, Public Administration, Law, Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Development or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in organisational governance, institutional strengthening and capacity development.
• Proven experience working with NGOs, CSOs or donor‑funded programmes.
• Strong knowledge of governance standards, anti‑corruption frameworks, safeguarding, compliance and fiduciary management.
• Excellent facilitation and adult‑learning skills.
• Experience in Liberia or West Africa is highly desirable.
