Risk Communication & Community Engagement Delegate

About the role

The Delegate, Risk Communication and Community Engagement will support National Societies and IFRC health and operations teams to enhance emergency response impact by integrating and coordinating risk communication, community engagement and accountability activities across the Ebola (BVD) response and other health emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and adapt risk communication messages and community engagement tools using social‑behavioural data to fit local contexts and outbreak dynamics.
• Lead the development, mainstreaming and budgeting of RCCE/CEA tools, SOPs, trainings and methodologies within the operation plan.
• Coordinate with ministries, WHO, UNICEF and other partners to ensure RCCE activities are aligned and recognised across the response.
• Establish and strengthen real‑time community feedback systems, analyse perceptions, rumours and complaints, and feed insights to planning and decision‑making teams.
• Support vulnerable groups’ access to information channels and ensure inclusive participation in decision processes.
• Facilitate training for staff and volunteers on code of conduct, health promotion, communication skills and handling of feedback and complaints.
• Promote evidence‑based advocacy and ensure RCCE materials are available in multiple languages and accessible formats.
