Senior Paraplanner – Financial Services Brokerage

About the role

An established financial services brokerage is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to provide comprehensive technical support to its Financial Planners and advisory team. The role ensures that advice is technically sound, accurately documented, compliant and efficiently implemented throughout the financial‑planning process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Records of Advice, full financial plans and client‑review documentation, including investment, retirement and risk‑planning recommendations.
• Conduct tax calculations, retirement modelling and produce estate‑planning documentation, risk comparisons and portfolio analysis.
• Manage annual client‑review schedules, prepare meeting packs, record outcomes and monitor implementation of advice.
• Build trusted client relationships, respond to enquiries within service standards and liaise with investment houses, insurers and retirement‑fund administrators.
• Review portfolios, prepare investment comparisons, support retirement‑needs calculations and assess suitability against objectives and risk profiles.
• Prepare risk‑needs analyses, quotations for life, disability, severe‑illness and income‑protection solutions, and identify estate‑liquidity considerations.
• Coordinate implementation of approved recommendations, prepare and check application documentation, submit instructions to providers and monitor progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Paraplanner in a financial‑services environment.
• High degree of independence and accountability, enabling planners to focus on client relationships.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and compliance awareness.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
