Communication Specialist (Harper, Liberia)

About the role

The Communications Specialist will strengthen visibility and engagement for Partners In Health in Liberia by promoting the organization’s mission, values, achievements and impact. Working from Harper, the role bridges PIH Liberia with the global Marketing and Communications team in Boston.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a country‑specific communications and content strategy aligned with PIH global priorities.
• Create, edit and publish engaging content for print and digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and the PIH Liberia website.
• Produce multimedia stories, photo essays and short videos that showcase PIH Liberia’s impact.
• Design infographics, maps, presentations and other visual assets to support storytelling.
• Maintain professional relationships with regional journalists and coordinate media visits, interviews and site tours.
• Manage a centralized repository of photos, patient stories, testimonials and success stories.
• Provide writing, design and photography support for donor and partner communications.
• Develop and edit PowerPoint presentations and other strategic communication materials for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Collaborate closely with the PIH Global Marketing & Communications team and the PIH Liberia Executive Leadership Team.
• Demonstrated ability to produce audience‑focused content across multiple channels.
• Experience coordinating media engagements and managing communication assets.
