Communication Specialist

About the role

The Communications Specialist will strengthen visibility, engagement, and support for Partners In Health (PIH) in Liberia. Working closely with the global Marketing and Communications team in Boston and PIH Liberia’s executive leadership, the role creates and curates audience‑focused content that advances PIH’s global communications strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine a country‑specific communications and content strategy aligned with organizational priorities.
• Pitch, draft, edit, and publish content for print and digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the PIH Liberia website.
• Produce multimedia assets such as photo stories, short videos, and human‑interest features that showcase PIH Liberia’s impact.
• Design and update visual materials like infographics, maps, and presentations to support storytelling.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional journalists and media outlets across print, digital, radio, and broadcast.
• Coordinate site visits, interviews, and engagements for external communications personnel.
• Manage a centralized repository of communications materials, including photographs, patient stories, and testimonials.
• Provide writing, design, and photography support for strategic communications aimed at donors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Develop and edit visually engaging PowerPoint presentations and other communication materials for internal and external audiences.
