Fleet Light Vehicle Officer

About the role

The Fleet Light Vehicle Officer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s light vehicle fleet. This role ensures vehicles are available, compliant, and cost‑effective while supporting operational continuity across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain 24/7 monitoring of vehicle usage, location, mileage and status.
• Produce daily fleet update reports covering utilization, availability and issues.
• Track mileage, service history and maintenance schedules for all light vehicles.
• Coordinate servicing, inspections and repairs with the Light Vehicle workshop.
• Minimize repair turnaround time and vehicle downtime, arranging replacement vehicles as needed.
• Develop and enhance preventive maintenance plans and ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage vehicle allocation, registration, licensing, insurance and disposal processes.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs and negotiate with vendors to control expenses.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety policies and company procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in fleet or vehicle management, preferably with light vehicles.
• Ability to work closely with maintenance teams and external service providers.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling, reporting and budgeting.
• Knowledge of vehicle safety regulations and compliance requirements.
