Junior Engine Officer – Vehicle Carrier

About the role

Our client, a stable carrier company, seeks a Junior Engine Officer to join its vehicle carrier fleet. The role involves supporting the engineering department on a Bahamas‑flagged vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the main engine.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation and monitoring of the MAN B&W 7S60MC‑CkW main engine.
• Participate in engineering watch rotations as Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (III/1).
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and record‑keeping in accordance with company procedures.
• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations on board.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months sea‑time experience as a junior marine engineer.
• Valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch III/1 licence.
• Current STCW certification.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MAN B&W 7S60MC‑CkW engine systems.
• Engineering watch‑keeping competence.
• STCW certified safety procedures.
