About the role
The Maternal, Neonatal & Child Health (MNCH) Technical Officer will support the EpiC project in Liberia, working from Monrovia to improve health outcomes for mothers, newborns and children under five. Reporting to the EpiC Liberia Technical Advisor, the officer will coordinate facility‑based and community‑based MNCH activities across four high‑burden counties.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Technical Advisor in ensuring quality maternal and neonatal clinical services at health facilities and in the community.
- Participate in trainings, on‑the‑job mentorship and supportive supervision to build capacity of county, district and facility staff.
- Implement activities in line with project protocols, guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with project technical staff to plan and coordinate service‑strengthening interventions with facility and country leadership.
- Engage in county‑level technical working groups and health sector coordination meetings on MNCH topics.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis and use of monitoring data for clinical and community indicators to drive service improvement.
Required profile
- Experience working on maternal, neonatal and child health programs, preferably in low‑resource settings.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines and standard operating procedures for MNCH services.
- Ability to work closely with government, community partners and frontline health providers.
- Strong organizational skills for planning, data coordination and reporting.
