Nurse Assistant – Patient Care Support

About the role

The Nurse Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff in a hospital setting, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity. Working under supervision, you will assist with basic clinical tasks, monitor patient conditions, and help maintain a clean and orderly ward environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nurses with basic patient care, including turning, repositioning, and feeding patients.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) under supervision.
• Transport patients between wards, diagnostic areas, and operating rooms.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report any changes to the nurse in charge.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, handle waste and linen, and ensure infection‑control measures are followed.
• Prepare and change patient beds, ensuring comfort and hygiene.

Required profile

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nurse Aide training program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience assisting nurses with patient care and ward management.
• Understanding of hospital policies, waste disposal, and infection‑prevention protocols.

Required skills

• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Basic proficiency with simple medical tools and documentation.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of infection‑control and hygiene standards.
