Registered Nurse – Clinical Care in Liberia

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in a medical facility in Monrovia, Liberia, supporting physicians and delivering inpatient and outpatient services across pediatric, adult, emergency and critical care settings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general nursing duties, administer clinical procedures, operate medical equipment and monitor patient treatment progress.
• Provide 24/7 bedside monitoring for critical care or high-dependency patients and respond to life-threatening emergencies such as strokes and heart attacks.
• Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and participate in physician rounds to adjust treatment plans.
• Maintain infection-prevention, waste-management and health-safety standards, sterilize equipment, and ensure readiness of emergency supplies.
• Document patient records accurately, manage nursing supplies inventory, and support handover between shifts.

Required profile

• Active nursing license registered with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Liberia and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Minimum two years of professional nursing experience, including experience in critical, emergency or inpatient care.
• Certificates in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Infection Prevention Control (IPC).
• Ability to work in an infectious-disease hot zone, lift up to 150 lb with assistance and stand for long periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and bedside-manner abilities.
