About the role
Last Mile Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead the scale‑up of Sayana Press, a sub‑cutaneous injectable contraceptive, across eight counties in Liberia. The role will ensure equitable access, high‑quality service delivery, reliable commodity availability, accurate data, and strong government ownership for roughly 42,000 women and adolescent girls in remote communities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate development of IEC materials in local dialects to raise awareness of community‑level family planning services.
- Provide continuous technical support to national, county, district and community staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality Sayana Press delivery.
- Support procurement and distribution of 150,000 doses of Sayana Press, achieving 18 months of contraceptive coverage for target users.
- Implement quality‑assurance mechanisms, monitor adherence to clinical protocols, SOPs, reporting tools and data accuracy.
- Plan and conduct refresher trainings, quarterly supervision visits, and oversee data entry using standardized tracking tools.
- Lead advocacy activities with the Ministry of Health, County and District Health Teams, and participate in technical working groups.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, community health, health services management or related field.
- Relevant professional experience in project coordination, primary health‑care interventions, and working within national or sub‑national health systems.
- Familiarity with government structures, community health worker programs, and the DHIS2 information system.
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, solve problems proactively and achieve consensus.
Required skills
- Advanced use of MS Office applications.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Experience with DHIS2 data management.
- Digital health program design or implementation.
- Facilitation of training and capacity‑strengthening for adult learners.
- Knowledge of AI applications for health service delivery.
