Senior Program Officer

About the role

The Senior Program Officer will support the Project Director – EpiC/Country Representative in managing FHI 360’s programs in Liberia. Based in Monrovia, the role ensures that project activities are delivered efficiently, comply with donor and organisational policies, and achieve measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of State and other donor requirements, reviewing programmatic reports and work plans.
• Oversee reporting processes, aggregate data, and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Support knowledge‑management, document‑management, and onboarding of new staff.
• Assist the Project Director in budget clearance, protocol development, report writing and dissemination of lessons learned.
• Maintain strong relationships with the Liberian Ministry of Health, local and international partners, and ensure effective communication across collaborations.
• Identify new funding opportunities, contribute to business‑development activities, and participate in proposal design and budgeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director and HQ.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of project management concepts and practices.
• Experience in donor‑funded program administration and compliance.
• Proven ability to work with multi‑stakeholder environments and manage partnerships.
• Strong written communication for protocol development and report preparation.
