Deputy Finance Manager

About the role

The Deputy Finance Manager will lead the finance operations of the Country Program, ensuring accurate, timely, and well‑documented accounting and financial reporting. This position supports high‑quality humanitarian programs by maintaining strong financial stewardship of all cash resources.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting processes, policies, and service delivery while maintaining internal controls.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in compliance with CRS policies, GAAP, donor regulations and local legal requirements.
• Maintain and update the financial accounting system with daily exchange rates, cost allocation tools, and transaction postings.
• Review and analyze financial reports, including shared‑cost allocations, to verify accuracy and compliance.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing finance or accounting functions, preferably in the nonprofit or humanitarian sector.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to supervise staff, coordinate with program teams and ensure high‑quality financial documentation.
